Guest check-in

The welcome should feel calm, even when the entrance is busy.

Prepare every gate, scan private QR passes and keep a protected guest list ready when venue connectivity becomes unpredictable.

Built for busy entrances

Give every gate the guest information it needs

The Check-in app keeps the event-day workflow focused, quick and separate from the couple's full planning workspace.

  1. Prepare each entrance

Choose the ceremony, name the gate and activate only the phones or scanning stations working there.

  2. Download the guest list

Keep a protected copy on the device before doors open, plus a printable backup for the team.

  3. Scan or search

Use the camera, a handheld scanner or quick name search to welcome each guest.

  4. Resolve repeat arrivals

See the earlier entry clearly and record the right outcome without losing attendance history.

Practical answers

Answers for a reliable arrival plan

See how prepared devices handle poor connectivity, repeated scans and private QR capabilities at the venue entrance.

Can check-in continue without reliable internet?

A prepared device keeps a protected ceremony guest list and records arrivals that still need to synchronise. The event team can also prepare a printable list and staffed manual lane.

What happens when a QR pass is scanned twice?

The earlier arrival remains visible and the check-in team records an explicit resolution. A repeated scan does not silently create another attendance record.

Does the QR code expose a guest's personal details?

No. The code carries a scoped, expiring capability rather than readable guest information. The authorised check-in device resolves only the arrival details needed for that ceremony.

Reliable by design

A clear fallback is part of the experience

Weddingly keeps the important arrival tools available and makes unsent activity visible until connectivity returns.

  • A protected guest list prepared on each authorised device
  • A visible count of arrivals waiting to synchronise
  • Duplicate detection with an explicit resolution choice
  • A printable guest list and staffed manual lane
  • A ceremony-scoped device that expires after the event
